November is here. It won’t be long before I’ll be traipsing up to the attic for my Yule decorations. This year has flown by, of course I say that every year. But the older I get, the faster time flies. Must be a sign of my mortality. Need to slow it down somehow, I still have so much to do.

The past few months have been a game changer for me. Priorities are changing and my routines are being altered to fit those changes. The transition is not always a smooth one. I’m still trying to see how I fit into this new life I’m creating for myself. Some days, I’m full steam ahead. Other days, I’m wondering what the hell am I even doing?

My book is on “simmer” mode for the next two-three weeks. The manuscript has been printed out and will sit on a shelf while I try to ignore it. The timing was perfect, however. I had gotten to the point where I was tired of reading and re-reading the same passages. I needed to get away from it for a while.

I pulled out Book 2 and realized that I’m not ready to deal with that one either. Not yet, anyway. I think instead, I’m going to play. I need to plan what swag I want and work on that for a time. I need to come up with some creative games for an online author event next month. I am woefully behind on my reading. I need to catch up on my social media socializing. I want to catch up on favorite TV shows, thank goodness for my DVR. At least I know they’re being recorded. And the list grows and grows … So much to do, so little time. Regardless, I’m in it for the long haul.

Till next week …
